Mary Winsor

Mary Winsor is a writer from the Southwestern U.S. where most of her short fiction and a novel in progress are set. She is a 2025 recipient of a grant from the Elizabeth George Foundation. Her essay "Rules of Flight" was selected as a Notable Essay by Best American Essays 2023 (Robert Atwan and Vivian Gornick, editors). Mary's writing can be found or is forthcoming in Ploughshares, As We Convene: An Anthology of Time and Place, The Cutleaf Reader Vol. 3 (Eastover Press), Threepenny Review, Northwest Review, Blue Mesa Review, Atticus Review, and elsewhere. Mary is teaches English and Creative Writing at Salt Lake Community College.
